Lampros Minos, PA Graduated Boston University in 1986 with an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and Exercise Physiology. After several years as an athletic trainer, he attended te Charles Drew School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Los Angeles. For over 20 years, he has been diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries. He has assisted in thousands of surgical procedures and continues to be a preceptor for many PA programs locally and nationally.

Lampros Minos PA. Graduated Boston University in 1986 with an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and Exercise Physiology. At B.U. he interned in the Athletic Training Department working with as a student trainer with many of the varsity athletic teams for two years under the direction of then Chief Maria Hutsick ATC. He became board certified after passing his national certifying exam in 1986. He worked as an Athletic Trainer for four years in Massachusetts and Connecticut before returning to school in California to the Charles Drew School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in Los Angeles. He graduated in August of 1993 and took a position at King/Drew Medical Center in Compton, California on the Trauma Service. He returned to Boston in December of 1993 becoming the first Physician Assistant hired in the long history of the New England Baptist Hospital.

He was named Chief Physician Assistant in 1994. He was a first assistant in surgery for the Sports Medicine Service. While on staff at NEBH, he worked closely with Dr. Arnold Scheller, who was the Chief of the Sports Medicine Department and the director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship program at NEBH. He was also the Team Physician of the Boston Celtics. Lampros was with Dr. Scheller as an assistant with the team from 1993-2006. He aided Dr. Scheller managing the day to day operations of the fellowship program as well as assisting in surgery daily. In 1999 he began to have a full clinic day evaluating patients in the NEBH Occupational Health Center.

Lampros has assisted in thousands of Total Hip and Knee Replacement surgeries. He has also assisted in thousands of cases involving sports medicine surgeries, including shoulder rotator cuff and labral repair surgery, knee ligament reconstruction and cartilage restoration procedures. He left New England Baptist Hospital and joined Boston Orthopaedic & Spine full time in 2006.

He continues to work with Boston Orthopaedic and Spine surgeons at NEBH as well as at Mount Auburn Hospital assisting in surgery and taking first call in the ED at the Mount Auburn ER.

He has been on the sideline covering sports events since 1985, as a Certified Athletic Trainer at first then as a P.A. He has covered athletic events at all levels, including High School, College, Olympic Qualifying events and professional sports teams. He currently acts as an assistant team physician for the Brandeis University Athletic Department with Dr. Anthony Schena.

He has been and continues to be a preceptor for many PA programs locally and around the country, training student PA’s in Orthopedics. He has been a guest lecturer at the Northeastern PA program in the past.

He has extensive experience with joint injections and orthopedic injury evaluation. He has injected many thousands of joints over the years. He has lectured and instructed at various courses and symposiums frequently on injection techniques. He has expertise with Steroid injections as well as with Viscosupplement injections such as Euflexxa and Synvisc.
